How do I create a capsule?

Sign in to your account, click "New Capsule," upload your document, configure your sharing rules (expiration, view limits, password), and share the generated link with your recipient.

Do recipients need an account to view my document?

No. Recipients can view your capsule using only the secure link. You can optionally require email verification or a password, but they never need to sign up for Capsule.

How do I revoke access to a shared document?

Open the capsule in your dashboard, click "Revoke Access," and confirm. The link will immediately stop working, even if the recipient has viewed it before.

What file types does Capsule support?

Capsule supports PDFs, images (PNG, JPG, WebP), Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), plain text files, and more. All files are encrypted regardless of type.

Can I change the expiration date after sharing?

Yes. You can extend or shorten the expiration date at any time from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately.

Is there a file size limit?

Free accounts support files up to 50 MB. Plus plans support up to 250 MB per file, and Pro plans support up to 1 GB per file.

How is my data encrypted?

Capsule uses AES-256-GCM encryption. Your documents are encrypted in your browser before they reach our servers. We never have access to the unencrypted content.
