Do recipients need a Capsule account to view my documents?
No! Recipients can view your capsule with just the secure link. You can optionally require email verification or a password, but they never need to create an account.
How secure is Capsule compared to email or Google Drive?
Much more secure. Every document is encrypted end-to-end before it leaves your device. Unlike email or shared drives, you can revoke access at any time, set expiration dates, and limit the number of views. Plus, you get a complete audit trail.
What happens when a capsule expires?
The document becomes completely inaccessible. Recipients will see an 'expired' message if they try to open the link. The encrypted data is automatically purged from our servers.
Can I see who viewed my document?
Yes! You'll see exactly who opened your capsule, when they viewed it, how long they spent, and their approximate location. For email-verified capsules, you'll know their exact email address.
